Manitia Jelena At Jansams (Calon)

Our foundation bitch, Calon came to us at the age of 17 months due to the ill-health of her owner/breeder. She had not been socialised and trusted no-one. We worked to rehabilitate her, gaining her trust and managing to get her into the show ring in just 3 months. There she did well, gaining her Kennel Club Stud Book number, giving her life-long qualification for Crufts where, in 2017, she was awarded 1st place in a strong Limit Bitch class. Calon has produced two beautiful litters and we are extremely proud of her. She has now retired from the show ring and will have no more puppies. She now relaxes at home which is where she prefers to be.

Jansams Tiramisu (Tirion)

The “keeper” from our first litter, Tirion is the clown of the pack. She has a superb temperament and loves everyone. She will happily “kiss” anyone who gets close enough, a trait she has taken into the show ring, cleaning the ears of many a judge whilst being examined. Following many Best Puppy In Breed awards she became the 2018 Borzoi Puppy Of The Year then, at only 21 months of age, she was awarded the Bitch Challenge Certificate at The Borzoi Club championship show in 2019. Tirion has been shown minimally since the pandemic restrictions were lifted, and we plan to continue to show her as she thoroughly enjoys the experience.

Champion Jansams Killer Queen (Seren)

The Welsh meaning of “Seren” is Star , and our choice from our second litter has truly been a star. Born in August of 2019, she was about to make her debut into the show ring when the pandemic struck. It took until June 2021 for the shows to restart, with her putting on a grand performance and immediately gaining her Crufts qualification. After just 12 months in the show ring she gained her Champion title and has been a consistent winner ever since. We are hopeful that she will take a break from showing in the near future to undertake maternity duties.
